Hey, Bert...

Bert: "Hey, you've got a banana in your ear!"
Ernie: "What?"
Bert: "I said, YOU'VE GOT A BANANA IN YOUR EAR!"
Ernie: "What? I can't hear you; I've got a banana in my ear!"

Bert: "Hey, you've got a banana in your ear!"
Ernie: "I know, I'm keeping the alligator away."
Bert: "But there aren't any alligators on Sesame Street!"
Ernie: "I know, it's working!"

Yep, that's about how it usually goes around here...

More Beach

A few more pictures my friend Tawny took. I really loved these.

Hanging out with the girls is lots of fun. Especially in our pink hats! I'd also like to point out that chair and umbrella - they've been making beach trips with us since like 2003 or so.

But, hmmm, it's really cold at the beach in March. We finally got smart and had the umbrella taken down so we could at least soak up some sun....

Hand in hand. Aren't they sweet?
I'm picturing Spring Break 2021.

We're two wild and crazy girls!

Fun in the Sun

I know, I know, I have been negligent. I'm sure you all were just sitting on the edge of your seats waiting to see what capers my little monkey has been up to, because I am well aware that Craig and I are not alone - that truly, EVERYONE'S lives revolve around Natalie. (Hegh.)

But seriously, we've been to the beach. What fun. :-)

First things first, I learned an important lesson. It used to be that a trip to the beach, for Spring Break with the girls, involved packing little more than would fit in a backpack. Bikini, sunscreen, lipstick, hair spray & blue jean cut-offs (hey, it was the 80s), and for some I won't name, the fake ID.

These days, a minivan barely contained all that we packed. But we were so happy to finally be there.

I even did a video version of the STUFF.

This year was sand year. Natalie entertained herself for long stretches, cooking in the sand. I mean, she was pretending to cook, not getting sunburned. We had a lucky year in that regard, nobody got burned.

But her favorite activity was chasing the seagulls. LOOK! There's one!

She was very happy. And I loved to see her so happy.
Okay, okay, so she's THREE, and she was cranky some too. She wasn't always great at sharing stuff, and she did win the world record for asking "Can I have some candy?" the most times in a 2-hour stretch.

Still, I can't wait to go back!

C is for Crummy

We recently rented (and watched about 5000 times) the Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland. Natalie's favorite part was Grizzie singing "C is for Crummy."

I'll tell you what is crummy, at least from Craig's point of view.... and that's sharing a cookie with Natalie, when she is doling out the portions. Evidence below.

She seems to think it worked out just right.
